Hi Paul. Hope you are keeping well.
Just to let you now I achieved Gold on Friday with Mick. So, many thanks for all your help and coaching skills. Considering where we started from, this is an excellent achievement and I am very grateful for you getting me to this standard so quickly.
I will stay in contact, I would like a half day or a day spent on cornering and alternative steering techniques. Can you let me know what you suggest and some dates etc.
Mick has also sent me details for the club.
Thanks and regards , Jonathan

I thought I'd drop you a line regarding my latest retest and to tell you its, "Gold" again, that makes it three in a row.
It occurred to me that I still have all three machines that I achieved those gold awards on, so that explains the pics.
Anyway enough of my modesty.
I'd just like to, " Thank you" for all of your help, professionalism and patients in helping me and no doubt many others enjoy our motorcycling in a safer and yes, sometimes faster way.
Cheers mate. Be seeing you soon for a refresher.
Terry

I didn’t realise but the decision to book up some training was taken out of my hand by my wife, who was concerned for my well being too as it seemed. She randomly phoned a company, and in my opinion struck gold first time. She booked me a weekend of advanced training with Paul Collins of ‘Perfect Control’ in Essex. Not the full blown stuff, but a taster of what I could go forward to achieve and an appraisal of my ability.
Now listen up you know it all bikers! It doesn’t matter where you heard it, on the telly or in the bike press, when you here these people saying ‘we all need proper training’, be it at the beginner’s stage or at an advance level, they are right. Even if you are a budding Rossi (but the safest rider on the planet and it’s all the others..bla bla bla) you are wrong to think you can relay on your vast experience and I have been there and done it attitude.
My weekend with Perfect Control was amazing, and a real eye opener. Also put a lot into perspective for me. My personal coach made feel at home the off, briefing me on each stage of my training and debriefing as we went along. Although this course was aimed at self preservation, it also focused on riding to the limit of the conditions that confronted me, and best of all how to relax and have fun. It only took half of the first day to iron out the most lets say obvious wrinkles, and we then started to fine tune and develop a confidence riding style.
One problem I have always had is maintaining good speed, line and traction around sweeping bends, the ones where we should be having fun. But my confidence let me down time and time again. Paul worked on this until I got it right with the bike and my brain (brain not so easy to fine tune these days!).
We covered miles and miles of some of the most demanding roads Essex can offer, and some of the wickedest fast bends around.
The whole of my weekend experience has left me wanting more, and to that end I have already approached Perfect Control to book up my advance training course with a view to taking my test this spring. I also feel I have made a another mate and somebody I could call on for help and advise.
Sure, I like riding fast, looking the stuff in my leathers, but I also want to get back home too!!
Thank you Perfect Control.
