If you’re not sure what it’s all about, come on a free 1 hour assessment ride!! It doesn’t cost you anything, you get a taster and will see how much you could be gaining in knowledge and skills on a course. You will want to book - in fact, you will wonder why you didn’t do it before!!

The benefits you gain with our Further Training courses:
• You will develop your riding skills, using the same road craft skills that are taught to Police motorcyclists and other professional motorcycle riders.
• We can prepare you for any of the advanced motorcycle riding skills tests: RoSPA, IAM, DIA, BMF.
• You will Improve your riding in several crucial skill areas; powers of observation and good awareness, hazard management, road reading, planning and positioning, overtaking, anticipation, and skill in making progress safely.
• You will enjoy your motorcycling more with your skills enhanced at least two/three fold after our specialist training courses.
• After passing an advanced test, your insurance could well be cheaper - quicker than building up years of no claims bonuses!!
• You will help your family to feel happier about you on today’s roads, which will give them more peace of mind when you’re out on your bike.

What you can expect on your course:

2. Lots of real time instruction, due to good continuous radio communications for on the spot advice and correction, something that social riding clubs can not give you.
3. Miles and miles of road riding time and not necessarily restricted to the “local” area as is experienced on normal licence training.

THE TRAINING
After the assessment ride, which gives you time to settle down in the training environment, and meeting your instructor, we can identify your training needs and skill areas which need work, and improve in those areas on the training day - priced at £130. Half day training sessions can be organised as well, at £75.
Further training is determined by your needs and ambitions to where you would like your riding standard to be, this will include training time and advice/road craft work and road time to achieve your target. The amount of training is fundamentally dependent on whether or not you want to take one of the national advanced rider tests or develop to an advanced level without taking one of the advanced tests.
RoSPA Advanced Rider test. To achieve a Gold award is a tall order and is considered to be the most comprehensive and challenging motorcycle qualification available to the public. The test is graded from Bronze to the top level Gold. The examiners assess the ride, then submit a written report of your performance, and will tell you what grade you have attained. Bronze and Silver grades are highly commendable achievements and no mean feat. The grade attained must be proved every three years to maintain current membership of RoSPA.

The Driving Instructors' Association (DIA) advanced riders tests have two levels: standard (one hour ride with 6 mistakes allowed) and special (one and a half hour ride allowing just two mistakes). From 2007 candidates must prove the standard again every three years.
For those of you who aren’t looking for full blown advanced rider training, a “refresher/back to biking” course is the one for you. This course follows on the lines of, “gentle refreshing” of the essential riding skills and re-establishing good safe standards and brisk efficient progress, to get back into “the groove” of riding. If indeed returning to motorcycling after a long lay off, our “Refresher/Back to biking” course is for you. We can also offer you a bike to hire if you don’t yet have your own so that you can get into good riding habits before you return to your own machine. This is a one or two day course, with your own machine a day’s course is £100, (plus £20 for a hire bike). The two day course is £200 (£40 extra to hire the bike)
